A Message from Principal Gonzalez
I trust you had a wonderful summer break and are eagerly anticipating the upcoming school year. As we embark on this journey together, I'm thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our returning families and a heartfelt greeting to our newcomers. This marks my third year as the proud principal of Thelma Richardson School , and I'm excited to continue serving the wonderful community of Pleasant Grove.
Our Rockets are ready to shine even brighter, and I'm absolutely thrilled to introduce an exciting initiative for this year—the House system. This innovative approach will create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive and discover their place. Just like a rocket requires a solid foundation to launch into the sky, our House system will provide the support and sense of belonging necessary for students to excel in their academic, social, and emotional growth.
We're also delighted to welcome new staff members to our exceptional team. Their dedication and expertise will undoubtedly enhance our students' learning experiences, and I'm eager for you to meet them soon.
Recognizing the significance of the first day of school for both parents and students, I want to address a change due to safety concerns. To ensure the safety and well-being of all students, I want to inform you that parents will not be able to accompany their children to class on the first day. Please rest assured that our staff is well-prepared to guide and support each student's smooth transition into their classrooms. I thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
As we gear up for another incredible academic year, remember that your involvement and support are integral to cultivating a thriving educational environment. Together, we'll empower our Rockets to aim for the stars and unlock their full potential.
